Does Age Make a Difference? — PoisePoint Education | Continuing Integrative Education for Skilled Bodyworkers
At first glance it seems that people are people and if it is a gentle technique one size should fit most. After all we have the same cranial bones or fascial planes or vertebral bones so techniques just need to account for size and structural integrity considerations. But when I consider human neura

What is Being Changed? — PoisePoint Education | Continuing Integrative Education for Skilled Bodyworkers
I have watched this a lot over the past few years and I think what is really being changed is space, not things. No, it’s not some relativistic, sci-fi magic (that would be pretty cool, though) but the way in which a client fills their internal space is changed. They check in with their body at re...

What Is ReTensioning®? — PoisePoint Education | Continuing Integrative Education for Skilled Bodyworkers
ReTensioning® is a holistic methodology for improving human movement and function. It integrates sound neurologic, anatomic, and physiologic principles in a manner that people can experience, understand, and incorporate into their activities quickly. Conceptually, ReTensioning® works by restoring

Thought I would share this from one of our students who took the Retensioning® class a few years ago. “I had an opportunity to work with a travelling acrobatic theater group when they came to town a couple of weeks ago. Acrobats with extreme body awareness, sensitivity and appreciation of good bodywork. Among the muscle work, I had an opportunity with a few of them to address some major joint issues (shoulder, knee, hip). All three responded similar with quick relaxation response after the ReTensioning™. One particular guy responded with, "What was that you were doing, it was pretty profound?" I briefly explained the concept. While working with him I had an opportunity to learn more about his background. He is trained in bodywork in Canada, and works weekly with a PT personally and professionally, so he said he is very picky with work done on him. Thanks again for your insight and training. It is having noticeable impact with people I am working on. ~ B.D.” www.poisepoint.com
