Marty is a pretty amazing producer, and we're proud to partner with him on our rodeo!
PRORODEO Hall of Famer Bob Barnes was a rodeo producing legend in America, especially in the Midwest, starting out in the early 1950s. So his son, Marty, has never not known all there is to know about rodeo and he became a very good bronc rider and steer wrestler early on. But, of course, his destiny was to also become a rodeo stock contractor and producer, like his father. Yet, little did he know that career would start for him at the ripe age of 14 when Barnes Rodeo Company had two rodeos in one weekend and Bob sent Marty to one of them to be the boss. Which was no big deal, of course, because Marty had been around it all his life. Even though, at that point, his life had only lasted 14 years. And we caught up to Marty and sat him down for an interview that is now an episode that you'll soon get to enjoy on the Cowboy Channel.
