The Ponca Hills Farm team had a great time at the Valley Park D Series show this past weekend! The outing was an incredible experience for the green Ponca-owned horses, as well as a few client ponies!

Omaha | Children | Summer Camp | Horse | Ponca Hills Farm Ponca Hills Farm offers an Equestrian Summer Day Camp for children ages 8 to 16. Campers enjoy scenic rides, riding lessons, learning about horses and a family picnic and horse show. Download camp registration here.

We have our dates for Ponca Hill Farm's 2026 Summer Camp Season. Registration will open February 1st.

Beginner Riding Camp Session 1:
June 1st - 12th, MWF 9-1 p.m.

Beginner Riding Camp Session 2:
July 13th - 24th, MWF 9-1 p.m.

Each two week Beginner Riding Camp will consist of a daily riding lesson suited to the level of the rider, as well as a classroom activity covering basic horse knowledge and care. These sessions will run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., and are open to riders aged 8 - 12. This camp is best for beginners, and is open to riders with no previous riding experience.

Beginner Horsemanship Camp:
July 6th - 10th, MWF 9-1 p.m.

Our one week Beginner Horsemanship Camp is geared toward children 6 - 8 years old with little to no riding experience. This camp will center on grooming and gaining confidence around horses, with daily riding at the walk on the lunge line or lead rope. This camp also runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

FINAL CHANGE: Based on entries we've moved the 2'3" classes to Sunday morning to make sure we don't run out of daylight on Saturday. Excited to see everyone this weekend!

UPDATE: We made a slight change to the October 25th and 26th O.M.A.H.A. Schooling Show schedule:

1. We will be starting at 7:30 a.m. with the poles in our indoor arena. Assuming the weather holds, we will run the poles through micro-x'es in the indoor, and then move to our outdoor arena for the 18" crossrails - 2'3" classes. Sunday we will start at 8:30 a.m. in the outdoor arena with the 2'6" classes.

2. We've added a costume class to the schedule on Saturday after the 18" verticals, as well as a rotating pairs costume class at the .65m height during the jumpers on Sunday. We are allowing costumes in all classes, but are especially excited to see them during the lead line, the costume class, and the rotating pairs!
