What a weekend!

It was great fun to host the last O.M.A.H.A. Schooling Show of 2026 here at Ponca Hills Farm. We especially loved seeing everyone (including Ruby!) embrace the costume mandate 👻🎃

Thank you to everyone who came out and braved the chilly mornings, and a special shoutout to all of our parents and students who helped wrangle the concessions stand throughout the weekend.

Our Ponca students and horses gave it their all, including a few students stepping into the show ring for the very first time. We can't wait to see what 2027 brings!

If we ever need rain, just ask us to schedule a horse show!

We are adjusting plans slightly due to a very soggy outdoor arena. All Saturday classes will now take place inside, and we're going to start at 8:00 a.m. We are still planning to host Sunday outside, but with a 9:00 a.m. start to allow everyone more time to school over the outdoor course.

Schooling in our outdoor may be possible Saturday afternoon but we won't have the full outdoor arena course set until after the show wraps in the indoor on Saturday.

It was a great weekend for Ponca Hills Farm students at the O.M.A.H.A. Schooling Show hosted by Infinity Farm!

🐴 Viktoria and Chuck took home the Champion in the Poles division
🏅 Vivian and Chuck were Champion of the Micro-x'es
🐴 Lucy and Pickles were Champion of the Next Step Hunter division
🏅 Avery and Pickles were Champion of the Next Step Equitation, and Reserve Champion of the Next Step Hunters
🐴 Arabella and Branson scored three second place ribbons in the Next Step 18" Crossrails
🏅 Brooke and Bruce were Champion of the Child/Adult 2' Equitation and Reserve Champion of the Child/Adult 2' Hunters
🐴 Evelyn and Branson were Reserve Champion of the Child/Adult 2' Equitation Division

And, most importantly, Brooke, Evelyn, and Arabella absolutely dominated at the hobby horse race! 😂

We are so proud of all of our young riders and, of course, our wonderful lesson horses. Thank you so much to Terri and everyone at Infinity for hosting and we can't wait to see everyone at our show next weekend!

We are excited to host the last O.M.A.H.A. Schooling Show of the season at Ponca Hills Farm October 17th - 18th!

PLEASE NOTE: We have moved the Masters division to Sunday morning in an effort to shorten Saturday so we aren't competing with the sunset on Saturday evening. We will be starting at 7:30 a.m. in the indoor with the poles/micro-x'es, but if the weather holds the rest of the show will be in our outdoor arena.

There will be a costume class, but costumes are allowed all day!

⭐SPOTLIGHT ON OUR HORSES! ⭐

One of our favorites, James 💖🏇🏻is a 15(?) year-old Thoroughbred gelding with a kind and generous temperament. Previously raced and foxhunted, James requires a light, sensitive ride and an educated hand. Here, one of Brent's more advanced students pilots James around a small course.

💖WE LOVE JAMES! 🤩😍

Ponca Hills Farm is thrilled to welcome back Tom Ordway, our favorite guest instructor and BFF (best farm friend) this weekend! Meanwhile, our junior riders are learning to jump crew while Tom puts the more advanced students through a grid before their course - let the horse-y hijinks begin! 🐴 💖
