Today, we were joined by just a few of the individuals who make our branch so special—and our Project Game On partners—for an intimate celebration and official groundbreaking of our all-new facility (and new North High Stadium).

DeValon Whitcomb, our associate executive director, said it best.

“The facility was more than a building. It was a cornerstone for hope and connection. We have the opportunity to impact and change lives.”

We’re deeply grateful to the community and our philanthropic supporters who have believed in us every step of the way.

Thirty years ago, the Butler-Gast YMCA opened its doors to North Omaha, and since then, it has been more than just a building—it’s been a home. As we prepare for a new facility, we do so with deep gratitude for the legacy we’ve built together and renewed energy for what’s ahead! After 30 years of the Butler-Gast YMCA-North Omaha serving the community, Rosalind Moore is excited for what’s next. “It really, really, really means a lot to me … This will be 30 years we've been in this building, and so we are long time overdue for some new things.
