Omaha's Academy of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

What a great weekend it’s been for Omaha's Academy of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Bellevue Academy BJJ here at the 2026 IBJJF M/S Worlds Jiu Jitsu tournament so far. Everyone has fought their hearts out and left it on the mat. One more day with 2 more competitors to go and I am super excited for them.

I remember several years ago I woke up at 4:30am to get to the airport in Omaha. I flew out at 7am to Vegas to coach this young man and then turned around and got back on a plane to head home that same day and I would do it anytime Elian needed me to be there. I have always believed in him and he has made me so proud. I am truly blessed to have him represent my academy.

Fast forward to today……..and here we are back in Vegas. Elian fought his ass off and showed true grit. He was in a deep submission and did not waiver. He showed composure and I knew he would not be denied. We win some and we lose some but we meet any challenge in front of us!!

Congratulations Elian on your 3rd place finish at the IBJJF NOGI CON. Enjoy your weekend my friend and let’s get back to work when we get home!!!!!

Omaha's Academy of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu KIDS FAMILIES. I am very sorry guys I have not been hit with something like this in a long time. I have been fighting some kind of virus for a bit and I will have to cancel kids class tonight. Again I am sorry and hopefully this passes very soon.

New training session added in Bellevue!

Starting this Sunday we will begin TEAM TRAINING sessions for Bellevue and Omaha members only.
