Great group to be associated with…
This one is about respect.
This is Jason Myers — the man who started Competitive Performance. Not because it was easy… but because it was necessary. He had the drive to race, but not the budget to buy the powerplants he needed. So he did what few are willing to do — he put his head down, went to work, and built his own horsepower.
From there, it never stopped.
Jason spent years working on a Top Fuel Funny Car as a blower specialist and top end specialist, taking in knowledge at the highest level of motorsports — and then bringing that same mindset and precision back to micro sprint racing.
He’s worked alongside names like Vance & Hines, helping bring cylinder head and header development into our world. He’s been there since serial number TWO with Tim Engler, helping shape the injection systems we still rely on today. Most recently, he helped design the Indy Pipe right here in-house alongside Preston Windom on our dyno.
And the truth is… that’s just scratching the surface.
There’s more he’s done for this sport than we could ever fit into one post — and most of it, he never asked for credit on. He did it because he loves racing.
He’s spent countless sleepless nights on the phone helping racers fix problems that weren’t even his. He’s invested his own time, money, and energy just to keep people on the track.
He might not always be the fan favorite. He’s straight up. No B.S. No sugar coating.
But at the end of the day — you can’t deny what he’s built, what he’s given, and the heart he’s poured into this sport.
We wouldn’t be here without him.
Thank you, Jason Myers. 🏁
