Weekend Recap: Cornhusker State Games
This weekend, our Sq**rts went toe-to-toe with some outstanding teams from across the region, picked up a hard-earned win, and battled until the final horn every single game. They finished fourth place overall, just two goals shy of the tournament’s third-highest scoring team, proving this group isn’t afraid to take their chances.
But the best part? This weekend wasn’t just about the standings. It was about giving every player the opportunity to compete, grow, and discover what they’re capable of. The scoreboard resets. The confidence, experience, and friendships these boys earned this weekend don’t.

The boys drew the 8:00 AM shift for Day 2 of the cornhuskerstategames—because apparently sleeping in is for the offseason…wait a minute 🤔
Yeah, so…both the Bantams and Sq**rts square off against Northern Colorado Blue at the exact same time. Two rinks. Two games.
Nothing says “good morning” like lacing ’em up before most people have found the snooze button. Here we go, boys!

Things are heating up at the ice arenas around Omaha!
Our squirts take the ice at Grover tomorrow morning against NYCH Blue at 8:00AM! And Bantams hit Motto McClean at the same time against the same program!

Wheels up, Aces... State Games are a go!
The Bantams are kicking off tournament weekend on Friday, taking on the Ice Hawks in the Bronze Division at 3:00PM at Moylan Iceplex.
Thirty minutes later, our Sq**rts hit the ice in the Silver Division for a matchup that's a little less "enemy lines" and a little more "see you at the snack bar after," as they face our friends from the Ice Association Flyers Silver.

Our squirts are all smiles for practice before the Cornhusker State Games kick off on Friday. This squad is registered in the 10U Select division and represents exactly what we set out to build: a true 2016/2017 birth-year team featuring a mix of returning players, several first-year squirts, and athletes making the exciting jump from Mites.
Friday we will take on some friends (and even a few of our summer Aces!) that are competing with the Fremont Flyers Silver team! Good luck, Aces—on both benches!
Eventually they need someone else’s brother to wrestle with I suppose 🤦♀️
