Stu Pospisil: How Omaha showed the game of tennis some love The city’s tennis history dates to 1879, when Warren Rogers built its first court on his father’s estate near 19th and Leavenworth Streets.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the 3rd Annual Jack Mallett Wood Racquet Social. A big shout out to De Caracas Son Venezuelan food truck for the delicious arepas and sandwiches.

The following door prizes for "best dressed / tennis whites"
First place went to Dana Caudle he won an official US Open tennis towel with all four grand slam logos.
Runner ups were Sam Lee and Radha Perue who respectively won a US Open plastic tote bag and a tennis notepad.

Thanks to everyone that stopped down to play in the Wood Racquet Social yesterday. Playing with wood racquets is definitely different from playing with modern racquets.
