One of the most meaningful experiences during my time in Omak was having the opportunity to participate in the Powwow Grand Entry at the Indian Encampment.

It was an incredible honour to be welcomed into such a beautiful tradition and to experience the culture, community, and spirit of the powwow firsthand. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity and for everyone who welcomed me and made this experience so special.

It’s moments like these that make travelling the rodeo trail so much more meaningful.

During the Calgary Stampede, I got to meet the legendary Zeke Thurston and Kolby Wanchuk!

One part of this job I never expected was waiting in the back of the infield for a ride and getting the chance to meet one of the most accomplished cowboys in rodeo history!

Zeke Thurston is a 4x NFR World Champion and 5x Canadian Champion, and currently sits #1 in the CPRA standings and #5 in the world standings.

Kolby Wanchuk is currently #3 in the CPRA standings and #11 in the world standings.

Both of these dedicated athletes are working their way toward the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton and the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, and I can’t wait to cheer them on every step of the way!

It’s pretty incredible that a simple ride across the infield can turn into a chance to meet rodeo legends.

At the end of any competition, win or lose, one of my favourite awards has to be the beautiful bouquet of flowers.

The Miss Rodeo Sundre program is incredibly fortunate to have a longtime flower sponsor who will sometimes show up at the drop of a hat with the most beautiful, stunning arrangements. Val creates incredible florals for whatever your needs may be, and she has supported our program in so many special moments.

She created the centrepieces for our fashion show, which doubled as decorations for public speaking and crowning, the beautiful bouquets Lacey and I received during our crowning, and, of course, the bouquet Jesse received after her final ride as Miss Rodeo Sundre 2025.

Flowers have a way of making important moments feel even more special, and Val has been behind so many of those moments for our program.

Thank you, Val, for continuously supporting the Miss Rodeo Sundre program and for being such a wonderful staple in our community. I’m so grateful for you!

Sunday at the Okotoks Pro Rodeo was one for the books!

It was Red Day in support of our troops and the Golden Circle of Champions. We had the opportunity to spend time with Sloane, a beautiful and inspiring young girl facing a devastating diagnosis. Moments like these remind me just how fortunate I am to live life to the fullest, in a free country and with a healthy body.

I’m so grateful for my sash sisters who are always willing to take pictures when asked, share in the heartfelt moments I’ll cherish forever, and, of course, make me laugh along the way.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend so unforgettable!

Saturday at the Okotoks Pro Rodeo was a blast!

I got to lead in the royalty during our wave lap instead of finishing it for a change! I also helped pick up some mutton busters out of the dirt, and one of them even had a vest that I got to sign.

We were lucky enough to stand in the dirt for Karina’s final ride and then crown the 2027 Miss Rodeo Okotoks , Sadie! What a special moment to be a part of.

To wrap up the night, I got to hype up the crowd and throw some goodies into the stands! A pretty great way to end an even better night.

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the Queens’ Luncheon at Omak City Hall alongside fellow royalty and the Mayor!

A special thank you to Miss Omak Stampede, Kaden, for hosting me and for showing me what true grace, kindness, and leadership as a queen looks like. It was such a pleasure spending the afternoon with you and learning more about the Omak community!
