Hands together for our Home Chore Team! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

πŸ”¨πŸ”¨πŸ”¨πŸ”¨A 4-man team made up of Ricky, Frank, Johnny, and Tracy worked together today to provide an elder with an exit that is more safe. They replaced some unsafe boards on the deck and stairs and added a wooden safety railing.

πŸ› πŸ› The Home Chore Team can assist elders with Home Chores and Minor Home Repairs that are health and safety issues. These services are provided to elders prioritized to those 70 and older, Adults 18-59 living with VA or Social Security Disability and elders 55-69.

Some examples of Services Provided:
Install or remove window air conditioners.
Help move items that are too heavy for elder to move. Such as Furniture, appliances, storage boxes within the client’s home. (Do not rearrange furniture)
Change batteries in programmable thermostat, smoke detector and CO2 detectors.
Change light bulbs.
Mulch leaves.
Trim small branches.
Clean out gutters and downspouts on first floor house and attached garage only, no outbuildings.
Pick-up heavy items from store within the local area. Such as: water softener salt, furniture and mowers.
Pick-up and drop-off good clean items for donation. No junk or garbage.
Assemble small furnishings. Such as: shelves, television stand, chairs.
Haul firewood into client’s home. Pick-up and deliver firewood within reservation boundaries.
Fix or install mailbox.
Take garbage/recycling bins to road and return to home.
Change furnace filter, client must supply filter.
Pick-up, deliver, and add salt to water softener, client must purchase salt.
Spray hornet & wasp nests from a safe distance.
Assist with minor home repair projects as needed with pre-approval.

*This is not an all inclusive list. Additional services available. Limitations and qualifications may apply. Elder may have to purchase supplies.

She can check your eligibility and put in a service request to the Home Chore team and they will set up a time with you to do an assessment of your request! *an assessment does not guarantee request can be fulfilled.

The guys really enjoy having the opportunity to help the elders in our community with small projects and home chores
