Well… here’s the extended version and what partially cost us the race. We finally got up to first on the road and first on time at RM 223. Finally free of dust, we started to push it until we pushed too hard. Dove her right into a ditch at RM 232. Thankfully trucks are nearly indestructible. We drove blind for several miles before the hood blocked enough air for the radiator to over heat and put us in limp mode where Brock (Alexander) got by us. We let her cool down a bit and kept pushing until waved us down and ripped the hood off for us while Christoper drove by. Hope you’re all good from that fall man! Anyways we kept moving along and caught back up to their dust until we blew two tires back to back. I think we made a mistake not changing the rear tires after Mike’s because they were tore up pretty good. We continued to push to the finish but couldn’t make up enough time in the tight section from Uruapan to Ensenada. We crossed the finish line 3rd physically. We found out later that we missed VCP 82, like a number of people, by 5-10ft which put us 4th for the race. Overall, it was a rough but fun race. Ready to get after it at the next one!
