It appears the Alabama Dept of Conservation is close to announcing changes to the regulations on Redfish and Sheepshead. We have advocated the release of oversized Redfish for years and it appears that is about to be law. The large Redfish contribute the most to reproduction and are lots of fun to catch. In addition, they are able to be released healthy after being caught nearly every time. Sheepshead harvest is expected to reduce from 10 per person to 8 due to the record number of anglers targeting them during their spawn. We will update when these changes are officially enacted but expect these changes to be enacted very soon.

Congratulations to our new pal Wyatt who is four years old for catching this 48 inch King Mackerel yesterday. It weighed almost as much as he does at a whopping 32lbs. Great job Captain Chris Ward for helping this family make a memory that will live with them forever!
