The weekend may be over, but the memories are just getting started. 💙🎣

From the excitement at the weigh dock to celebrating our junior anglers during the awards ceremony, this weekend was one we’ll be talking about for a long time. Seeing these kids so proud of their catches—and the smiles from their families—reminds us what the Junior Angler Tournament is all about.

A huge thank you to Jenni Guerry Photography for capturing it all!

Congratulations again to all of our junior anglers, and thank you to everyone who helped make another great weekend at MBGFC possible. See y’all at the next tournament!

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July from the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club! 🇺🇸

The Fourth of July has always been about more than fireworks along the Gulf. It’s the sound of boats leaving the pass before sunrise, American flags flying proudly from the outriggers, generations gathered at the dock, and traditions passed from one family to the next.

Today, we’re especially grateful to celebrate those traditions through our Junior Anglers—the future of our sport and our club. Watching these young fishermen and women make memories on the water reminds us why we do what we do.

🎣 Reminder: The **Junior Angler Tournament weigh dock is open today from 1-3pm. Come out, cheer on our young anglers, celebrate their catches, and help encourage the next generation of Gulf Coast fishermen and women.

Wishing everyone a safe and blessed Independence Day filled with faith, family, freedom, and time on the water.

Happy Fourth of July, and God bless America.

There are some people whose presence becomes part of a place. For so many of us at the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club, McNeil Mosteller was one of those people.

The water wasn’t just somewhere he went—it was where he felt at home. He had a deep love for the outdoors, an undeniable passion for fishing, and a genuine appreciation for the people and traditions that make this community so special. Whether he was at the club, around the marina, or offshore, McNeil lived the kind of life that reflected what mattered most—faith, family, friends, and time on the water.

His passing leaves a space that cannot be filled. The docks will feel quieter, the stories will carry a little more meaning, and every sunrise and sunset over the Gulf will remind us of someone who truly loved being there.

McNeil, you were a legend to this community and deeply loved by so many. Thank you for every conversation, every laugh, every memory, and for the legacy you leave behind. Your kindness, your passion and your love for this sport will continue to live on through all of us.

As we grieve, we hold tightly to God’s promises:

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” — Isaiah 43:2

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7

Our hearts are with the Mosteller family and everyone, mourning this unimaginable loss. We pray that in the days ahead they find comfort in God’s presence, strength in one another, and peace in knowing how deeply McNeil was loved.

Fair winds and following seas, McNeil.

You will forever be a part of the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club family.

Until we meet again🩵🎣🌅
