first race postpartum!! Truthfully I almost let comparing myself to the old me + others take away from the happiness I felt from this race.

My paces were slower than what I ran in a marathon 1.5 years ago, and this felt so much harder than expected. But I quickly reminded myself that I’m NOT the same person I was. This isn’t comeback.. because I’m not going back if that makes sense? I’m in a new season of finding the new me. Also, running a 5k under 8min/mile pace IS IMPRESSIVE!!! Running a 5k alone is impressive and at the end of the day it doesn’t matter how fast I run it as long as I’m doing it and finding joy.

Comparison truly is the thief of joy. I see other moms running further, faster, racing longer distances, and it’s INCREDIBLE. And I have to remind myself, this is INCREDIBLE for ME. And I progressed in ways that felt good for my body, & my body’s timeline.

Every night looks a little different these days. Some of the smallest moments in the day have become my favorite. This kid loves the water, so bath time has become something that we all look forward to + love doing together.

I’m excited, nervous, all the things to be running my first half marathon postpartum next month!! I’m running the Nike After Dark Half Marathon in LA next month! It’s been over a year since my last race, I can’t wait to be back

Half marathon training is in full effect & it’s time to get up to some double digit runs again 🤗

tbh something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately.

I love posting on social media & so many things that come with it. There are so many opportunities to connect & help other women/people, there are financial opportunities, & also just being able to receive + do really cool things!! There’s SO much I love.

But sometimes, being on my phone gets to me. Not feeling present gets to me. Feeling like I can’t keep up with all the content I want to create, or respond to the messages to help you all, etc it gets to me. Especially being back at my full time job, finding the time feels wild right now.

Just sharing thoughts here in case there are any creators in the same boat!! Always want to keep it real & raw here
