I hope everyone had a great time at the Championships! We had 22 teams start the long course, and 18 finished. All 7 teams that started the short course finished. Next year's championship will be held at Lily Glen Horse Camp, just outside beautiful Ashland, OR. There will also be an East Coast Regional Championship in Tennessee, held sometime in September. We'll keep you updated as dates get confirmed.

Ride and Tie is a challenging sport that combines trail running, endurance riding, and most of all, strategy. Sounds simple enough. It's fun!
The object is to get all three team members (two humans and one horse) across a 20-100 mile cross-country course by alternating riding and running. One team member starts out running, the other starts on the horse and rides down the trail as far as they think their partner can run (or walk) and still keep up a decent pace.
