π REEVES DOMINATES AN UNSETTLED CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY IN ORANGE
If there was one word to describe Championship Saturday at Operation Orange, it would be unsettled.
The Final Four started Saturday morning with their qualifying weights erased and the scoreboard back at zero. Early on, Jeremy Reeves and Victoria pro Mark Robinson traded fish for fish, looking like Championship Saturday might turn into a two-man shootout.
Robinson, fresh off his victory just down the road two weeks earlier in Port Arthur, returned to some of the same waters that had produced his victory, but failed to produce the consistency needed for back to back wins. Early in period two Reeves found his rhythm β and took control.
Reeves put together a dominating Championship Saturday, recording 17 redfish for 102.30 pounds β nearly 37 pounds clear of second place β to capture the event which presented by Explore Orange and close out the final regular-season stop of the 2026 frogg toggs Top Ten Solo Tour.
Behind him, Mark Robinson finished in 2nd place with 12 redfish totaling 65.30 pounds. Recie Tisdale, fishing with referee Eddie Adam, took third with 5 fish for 28.00 pounds, while Michael Frenette and referee Robert Bright finished fourth with 4 fish totaling 27.66 pounds.
But the final numbers tell only part of Saturday's story.
Saturday's conditions changed as quickly as the anglers could make a decision. Thunderstorms had to be dodged throughout the day, while changing winds β including a troublesome west wind β pulled water from areas that had produced during qualifying.
Adding to the challenges, the September heat and humidity to the equation was nearly intolerable. Championship Saturday quickly became a constant exercise in adjusting, moving, dodging... unsettled!
However, Reeves found the key, his 102.30 pounds capped an impressive performance and earned him the Grand Champion title as the regular season came to a close in Orange, Texas.

4οΈβ£ Michael Frenette β 27.66 lbs β 4 fish - $2,000.00

Three days of competition. Changing water. Thunderstorms. Heat. Tough decisions. And when the final fish hit the scales, Jeremy Reeves had left no doubt.
Operation Orange is in the books, thank you to all of the officials that worked together and made this event possible. πππ£ More to come soon...
