Celebrate your WINS!

Your hard work deserves recognition & a reward.

The thing is, nobody gives you a trophy for staying consistent to a training routine.

It’s especially important when the results you’re working towards (which is the greatest reward) can feel elusive.

Getting stronger
Dropping a few pounds
Feeling lighter
Moving better
Having less pain

Those are all FEELINGS. They’re not tangible.

And feelings are fleeting.

The physical reward you gave yourself for the hard work? That’s a memento.

A reminder that your effort pays off.

Gamify fitness by creating an action based goal with a very clear reward when you complete it.

Shoot me a DM if you need help creating a game-plan to help you stay on track with your fitness results. First session is on me.

Remove emotion from the scale.

Seriously, if you’re actively trying to shed some pounds and you weigh in nearly every damn day, take emotions out of the equation.

If you see a number that is higher than usual and it makes you feel bad, view it as feedback.

If you see a number that is better than what you expected, take the win.

The number is simply that... a number.

It’s the emotions around it that create judgement which mess with your mindset.

Especially if those feelings lead to ‘the f*ck its’ - you know what that is...

“Well, i’m not losing weight anyways, so i’ll have that almond croissant”

“You’re never going to lose this weight, let me skip the gym”

If checking your weight leads to a roller coaster of emotion, take a step away from it and remember your weight is one of MANY metrics that can be measured.

Don’t trip about the number. Instead, focus on your effort. The results will follow.

Trust the process.
Do the work.
Never f*cking stop.

One of the most underrated skills in fitness is patience.

A client recently lost 1.6 pounds in 4 weeks.

Her first reaction?

“That’s all I lost?”

But let’s zoom out for a second.

If she loses 1.6 pounds every month for a year, that’s nearly 20 pounds gone.

Most people don’t struggle because they aren’t making progress.

They struggle because the progress isn’t happening as fast as they hoped.

We’ve become so focused on dramatic transformations that we overlook the small wins that actually create them.

A pound here.A workout there.A better decision at lunch.A week of consistency.

Those things don’t seem significant in the moment.

Until they compound.

The people who get the best results aren’t always the most motivated.

They’re the ones who stay patient long enough to collect the rewards of their effort.

Trust the process.

Give your hard work time to work.

I’ve got a HUGE win to share...

See these chocolates?

I got them as a gift back in December.

And there are still TWO left.

Now, if I had brought that box home, they'd be gone in 3 days.

A couple pieces after dinner.
A couple more the next day.
"Just one more" turns into an easy six.

This sound familiar to you??

So instead of relying on willpower, I changed the environment.

I hid them in a cabinet at the gym.

Why?

Because home is where I relax.

The gym is where I grow.

At home, I'm more likely to wander into the kitchen and start negotiating with myself.

At the gym, I'm focused on coaching, training, and helping people improve. Chocolate isn't even on my radar.

I also made a simple rule:

If I wanted some, I could have 2–3 pieces after a hard conditioning workout.

Not every workout.
Not every day.

Just enough to enjoy it without turning it into a free-for-all.

The lesson?

Most people don't need more discipline.

They need fewer temptations and better systems.

If there's a food that keeps derailing your progress, stop testing your willpower every day.

Put it out of sight.
Change the environment.
Make the better choice easier.

Success gets a lot easier when you stop fighting yourself.

I turned 35 last week. Here are some hard truths I learned over the years…

1 - Pain is a masterful teacher.

2 - Embrace silence & stillness to hear what’s going on internally.

3 - Speed is your friend - learn to make decisions faster.

4 - Hesitation is defeat - if you wait too long, you will lose.

5 - Clearly define and understand your values - they act as a decision-making filter.

6 - Create & adhere to boundaries in your life.

7 - Share your wins - no matter how small, they build confidence & positively affect other people.

8 - Your body is the most valuable asset you have — treat it right and it will serve you.

9 - Speak up - holding s**t in gets heavy and creates emotional constipation.

10 - Minor, consistent changes make massive differences over time.

11 - Adopt a go-giver mindset - ask what you can give instead of take.

12 - You’re as strong as the words you tell yourself.

13 - You have to let go in order to grow - habits, behaviors, environments, relationships that keep you stuck.

14 - Your kids can be an excuse you hide behind or the reason you act like.

15 - When life gets dark, search for the bright spots.

16 - Learn new skills - you’re never too old to stop growing.

17 - Don’t be an as***le - being nice requires the same amount of energy as being mean.

18 - You are capable of more - you just have to believe it.

19 - Intentionally do HARD things - hard work will always be a valuable characteristic.

20 - Ask for help - you don’t have to do it alone.

21 - You can’t always control your circumstances, but you can control your attitude.

22 - You have more to give, even when you think there’s nothing left.

23 - Appreciate what you love & value in life, or they depreciate by default.

24 - Learn to forgive - holding onto resentment carries a cost.
