At approximately 5:09 today, units responded to a fire incident in the 2200 block of Honeysuckle. Upon arrival, the first unit observed significant flames emanating from the front of the structure, which were promptly extinguished. One occupant, who was present during the fire, successfully self-extricated and sustained minor burns. The patient was transported by Acadian to a local medical facility for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. We extend our gratitude to neighboring agencies for their assistance during this incident, including Orange Professional Fire Fighters Association Local 1432, Orange County Emergency Service District 4, and Deweyville Fire.

While normally I would not share something like this on the fire departments page, this directly involves one of our fire fighters and his child. Please take a look and if you’d like to support one of your fire fighters please feel free!

Texas Coastal Armory is hosting a special charity fundraiser to support baby Conrad and his family during this incredibly challenging time.

Conrad was born on March 13 as a healthy baby boy. Tragically, just several days later while at home, he suffered a cardiac arrest and tested positive for COVID. He has been fighting hard in the NICU ever since.

Here are some photos from the second fire academy hosted by OCESD3 in partnership with Kilgore College. This academy offers TCFP certification training to local volunteers, enhancing their ability to serve their communities. We extend our gratitude to participating departments and Kilgore College for their collaboration in making this training possible for our firefighters. Additionally, we acknowledge the Texas Forestry Service and their 2604 program for providing grants that facilitated this opportunity.

A Little Cypress home sustained extensive fire and water damage Monday morning after a blaze broke out in the loft area of a home in the 4100 block of Little Cypress Dr, displacing two adults and two cats.
