JKA Kumite keeps it real. Not liking how all Kumite is looking all the same these days.

Great examples of Seme (aspects of San Sappo), good ma ai or distancing, great focus or Zanshin… both sides are in a mental chess match to see what they can execute.

Modern day has sped up the process and is highly competitive but has lost one main component… too many people celebrating or looking for the point after scoring. Where did the zanshin or combat awareness follow through go? So sad… and so disrespectful to the opponent.
