Rider Spotlight!🌟

Emilyn, 11, has been taking lessons with us since 2023. Over the years, she has been improving her riding skills and learning events such as barrel racing, pole bending and other playday events!

This past weekend, her and our lesson horse, Tex, entered their first playday together. She learned a lot, got through the nerves, and came in 1st place in 2 of her events and brought home some money!

Congratulations, Emilyn, we are so proud of your hard work and we can’t wait to see how you do at the next one!

We would like to confirm that our online schedule accurately reflects our current availability, which is currently booked until November 25th!
To ensure timely booking, we advise clients to plan ahead and schedule appointments frequently.

Our horses health, wellbeing, and safety is our TOP priority here at Gator Creek. These animals are family members to us!

Our beloved lesson horses, Beans and Tex, haven’t 100% been themselves in the past 24 hours. I listened to my gut and brought them to the vet this morning.
No need to worry! It was best case scenario for both of our boys and they will be feeling 100% again very soon!

Tex will be out of commission for the remainder of this week and all of next week. He will be ready to go back to work 9/29.

Beans will be out of commission for the remainder of this week and for the following 10-14 days. He will approximately be ready to back to work the week of 9/29.

Both are comfortable and in pretty good shape - just needs some rest and medicine!

Lessons will need to be postponed in the meantime. Thank you for your understanding!

Thank you to everyone for being patient while I fully recover from surgery. I know the weather is getting nice and everyone wants to get out and ride! (Believe me, I’m right there with you!)

I have not been cleared to lift saddles, help children get on horses, ride, or even feed or muck just yet. I’m predicting mid April I should be able to get back to taking new clients, new lesson students, resuming my kids’ lessons, and pony rides. I apologize for the inconvenience! This is to prevent complications from surgery.

A few things to be aware of:

I will be having surgery February 18th, and will be on bed rest for the first week and very limited the following two weeks.
I will go back to teaching lessons and riding horses as soon as I’m physically able to, but for now, I don’t have an exact date of when I will be ready to come back. I’m thinking I’ll be good to resume sometime during March.

That being said, get your lessons in next week while you can!! I know we have some rain on the forecast and we will try to work around it as much as we can!

I will also not be working Valentine’s day, Friday the 14th.
