Toughness gets tempered under pressure.

Grant Lorge came in for his evaluation last August throwing 72. A year later he’s a completely different arm.
He’s an incoming junior at Valencia High School, and this jump is what a year of consistent work looks like.
8/29/25 Evaluation
Sitting 71, topped 72.4 mph
8/15/26
Sitting 80mph, topped at 81.1 mph
Nine miles an hour in a year, with two high school seasons still ahead of him. Keep it going, Grant.

Live at-bats with Tyler Eastham.
Fastball, slider, and sweeper all out of the same tunnel. Same look out of the hand, three different ways it finishes. Tough day to be in the box.

August force plate numbers are in.
Every month these plates turn effort into evidence. We can see exactly where a guy creates his power, where he’s leaking it, and what to build next.
That’s the difference between hoping you’re getting better and knowing you are. Nothing here is left to chance.
Proud of what this group put in this month. Let’s keep stacking.

The tough days are where it’s proven.

We couldn’t be prouder of this group. These guys put in the work long before anyone was watching, and it carried them all the way to the college level. The stage gets bigger, the standard stays the same. Go compete and make it count.

Jacob Atkinson is off to a strong start.
Freshman at Orange Lutheran, class of 2030, and the early work is already showing. At his June eval he topped out at 74.4. By the end of July he’d put on about six miles an hour.
June Eval
Avg 73.1, top 74.4
7/31
Avg 78.6, top 80.5
Big jump for anyone, let alone a kid just getting to high school. He’s ahead of schedule with a long way left to climb.
Great start, Jacob. Keep after it.
