📸 STUDENT SUCCESS | TRAINING HIGHLIGHT

Today was one of those days you remember.

Several students finished the shooting test with a perfect 100% score.

Even better, this was our first class of the year where 100% of the students passed both the written test and the shooting test.

That is an outstanding result.

• Every student passed the written test.
• Every student passed the shooting test.
• Several students earned perfect shooting scores.
• The entire class finished the day successfully.

That is what training is about.

Listening.
Learning.
Applying the fundamentals.
And performing when it counts.

I’m proud of this entire group.

They showed up, did the work, and earned the result.

Safety • Knowledge • Skill • Attitude.

Congratulations to everyone who trained with us today.

☀️ MORNING BRIEF™

Before Saturday gets busy, do something good for the person carrying all the responsibility: you.

Get up.

Get outside.

Take a walk.

It doesn’t have to be complicated, and it doesn’t have to take all morning.

Make today’s assignment simple:

• Walk at a purposeful pace.
• Give yourself 10, 20, or 30 minutes.
• Put the phone away for a while.
• Pay attention to what’s around you.
• Come back ready to handle the rest of the day.

The CDC says any amount of physical activity can provide health benefits, and brisk walking counts as moderate-intensity activity for many adults.

You don’t have to do everything today.

But you should do something.

Preparation isn’t only about equipment, plans, or training.

Sometimes it starts with taking care of the person responsible for all of it.

Have a strong Saturday.

ARE YOU READY?™

👉 Make today count.

📚 HARWELL PRINCIPLE™

Owning a fi***rm does not mean you understand it.

That distinction matters.

Before you depend on a fi***rm, you should know that fi***rm well enough to handle it safely and correctly.

Can you:

• Safely open and close the action?
• Unload it correctly?
• Identify the correct am******on?
• Verify its condition instead of assuming?
• Recognize when something doesn’t look, sound, or feel right and stop?

A fi***rm is a mechanical device. It requires knowledge, proper handling, maintenance, and respect for the manufacturer’s instructions.

The Harwell Principle™ is simple:

Never let ownership outrun your knowledge.

Buying the fi***rm is easy.

Learning it takes time.
Training takes effort.
Maintaining safe habits takes discipline.

That is where preparation begins.

Safety • Knowledge • Skill • Attitude.

If there are things about the fi***rm you depend on that you still don’t fully understand, fix that.

🎯 WEEKEND READINESS MISSION™

Tonight, ask yourself one uncomfortable question: Who can actually get to the fi***rms in your home?

Not who you think can.

Who actually can.

Your mission this weekend is simple: audit access.

Walk through your home and check:

• Are fi***rms not in use securely stored?
• Can a child or unauthorized person reach them?
• Is am******on securely stored separately?
• When handling a fi***rm from storage, are you personally verifying that it is unloaded?
• Do the people in your household understand your fi***rm-safety rules?

Don’t assume.

Check it.

Responsible fi***rm ownership doesn’t stop when you leave the range. What happens inside your home matters too.

Take 15 minutes this weekend and find the weak point before it becomes a problem.

Safety • Knowledge • Skill • Attitude.

Then ask yourself the question we should never stop asking:

ARE YOU READY?™

If your training needs work, don’t keep putting it off.

💡 TODAY’S INSIGHT™

One of the most important handgun skills happens when the shooting stops.

Can you safely unload your handgun and verify its condition without hesitation or guesswork?

Responsible fi***rm handling includes knowing how your fi***rm operates, how to safely remove am******on, and how to confirm that it is unloaded.

That means paying attention to the basics every single time:

• Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
• Keep your finger outside the trigger guard.
• Know how your specific fi***rm operates.
• Know how to safely unload it.
• Confirm its condition rather than assuming.

Those practices are consistent with established NRA and NSSF fi***rm-safety guidance.

Shooting accurately matters.

Handling the fi***rm correctly before, during, and after the shooting matters too.

If there is anything about your handgun you are unsure how to operate safely, don’t guess. Get competent instruction and learn it correctly.

Safety • Knowledge • Skill • Attitude.

Preparation includes what you do when the firing stops.

ARE YOU READY?™

👉 Put the right training behind the fi***rm you own.

☀️ MORNING BRIEF™

Before you try to get faster, make sure you’re getting it right.

Speed gets attention at the range. Discipline keeps the training grounded.

Before every repetition, check the fundamentals:

• Muzzle: Is it pointed in a safe direction?
• Trigger finger: Is it outside the trigger guard until you’re ready to fire?
• Target: Do you know exactly what you’re shooting at?
• Beyond: Do you know what is behind that target?

Those aren’t “beginner rules.” They are established fi***rm-safety principles that apply whenever we handle and use fi***rms.

So this Friday morning, forget about impressing anybody with speed.

Make every repetition deliberate.
Make every decision accountable.
Build safe gun handling into everything you do.

Safety • Knowledge • Skill • Attitude.

The question isn’t how fast you can shoot.

The question is: ARE YOU READY?™

Train with purpose. Prepare before the moment comes.

📚 HARWELL PRINCIPLE™ #391

IF YOUR JUDGMENT IS IMPAIRED, THE FI***RM STAYS PUT.

Fi***rm safety starts before you ever touch the gun.

The NRA specifically warns against using alcohol—or any substance likely to impair normal mental or physical function—before or while handling or shooting fi***rms.

THE HARWELL PRINCIPLE™

You cannot separate good shooting from good judgment.

If something is affecting your ability to think, react, or physically function normally:

Don’t shoot.
Don’t handle the fi***rm.
Keep it secured until you are fully capable again.

NSSF reinforces the same basic safety message: alcohol, drugs, and fi***rms do not mix.

RESPONSIBILITY BEGINS BEFORE THE FIRST ROUND.

Train when you are capable.
Handle fi***rms when you are clear.
Make judgment part of your safety standard.

Train responsibly. Prepare deliberately.
