When in Rome AKA Roman is shared between Coach Chrissi and Rowan, one of our graduates. Roman is semi retired due to a condition called uveitis, which is progressively causes him to go blind. Roman is a talented horse, don't let his eye poor sight fool you into thinking he is incapable. Roman is very well trained and super fun to ride. He is still used by his owners as well as some advanced lessons. If you see Roman out to pasture or being ridden in a mask, don't worry it is essential to have his horsey sun glasses on to help slow the progression of his vision loss. Everyone meet Jumping Jack Flash ⚡️
Jack is the resident slow poke of the farm and is usually the first horse a young rider will ride. He is a true Steady Eddy and got the nickname Eeyore because of his lazy and quiet nature. Don't let him fool you, he can jump the moon. Jack is one of our most beloved lesson horses and is truly worth his weight in gold.

Meet one of our riders, Frederique Stephens. Freddie is an acceptional athlete who loves and cares for all our horses. Watching her work in the arena is always a pleasure & the animals just love her! Thanks for all your efforts at the farm, Freddie!

Jack is a rock star! ⭐️ he’s been dreaming of this moment his entire life!

Meet Sapphire! Sapphire has been a member of our family here at OPE since the beginning. Before becoming a lesson horse, she was coach Steve's Father's horse. She has a fiery spirt and has one of the smoothest gaits of all the horses on the farm. We are not positive of Sapphires true age or breed since she is a rescue all the way from Washington state. What we do know is that this mature mare is a blast to ride. She enjoys time in her stall and loves being groomed so make sure to stop by her stall next time you are at the farm.

Haley brought her newly leased horse, Billie, home to the farm about a month ago. Watching these two develop trust and love for one another has been absolutely amazing so far.
