2023 B.A.S.S Nation Western Regional at Lake Powell was a great finish to my fishing season. Finished 21st overall. I didn’t do well enough to make Nationals. But now I know I’ve got some work to do for next years season.

First morning Salmon fishing in Oregon, the Wife killing it!

My Wife and I were out looking for my dog that had ran away. 5 minutes or so on this trail my wife stopped and said there was something on the road up ahead. I passed her find a big ol moose running from us. Saw two more 30 minutes up this trail.

If you are looking to book a guided (or unguided) Alaska King Slamon fishing trip, you are going to have to take a look at “Jake’s Nushagak Salmon Camp” for the best experience on and off the water. In a remote camp right on the river where you can fish for 2 hours a day or 20 hours a day! Look them up online at jakesnushagaksalmoncamp.com to get more info!
I Just got done with a 14 day “working vacation. One week of King Salmon and Sockeye fishing on the Nushagak river in Alaska. Followed up by continuing the building of a good friends cabin on Aleknagik lake with some more fishing.
Of course I had to take out some 4” flutter spoons paired with a Size 2 Tornado treble hook. Which, now i will never go to Alaska without!

It’s that time of the year here where all I want to throw is a frog. The Poppin’ Filthy Frog from brought in this beauty. Definitely not the biggest fish I’ve ever caught. It is certainly the biggest fish I’ve caught and actually had a scale to weigh it. Also the biggest one in Utah. Coming in at 5.1lbs.

Finally,, the temperatures here in Utah are warming up and I just had to get out and start flipping what little grass beds I could find. Got me five little ones and this 1lber. Not the bigs I’m always looking for but they’re good enough for me to start the year now the ice is gone.
