Happy Heavenly Birthday to my amazing husband, Mike Ray. Mike would have been 56 today.
One of my favorite quotes from Mike is, "I have something to offer. I must discover that and then I must do it passionately so that the world will benefit from my having been here."
For Mike, life was an adventure and he lived life fully. He had a gift for loving others and giving hope. He greeted each day with faith and gratitude. I am so grateful for our eternal covenants and a knowledge that we will be together again one day.

Mike had great respect and admiration for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This picture is still on the shelf of his office. Mike memorized Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech and would recite it with great emotion in our children’s elementary school classes. Mike had a gift for seeing the content of a person’s character and helped people discover the best in themselves. I wonder if he has been able to meet and talk with this hero on the other side of the veil. I like to imagine them working together.
“A quitter never wins and a winner never quits” - Napoleon Hill
This week be a winner and don’t quit.
“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment” - Jim Rohn
If you want to accomplish more, set your goals. What is one goal you have that you’d like to accomplish?
“A man is what he thinks about all day long” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
This week, change you thoughts and change your life.
Mike truly believed and lived his life this way. He believed that your thoughts could be incredibly powerful tools. For him, if he could dream it, if he believed it, he could achieve it.
This week, be grateful for the loyal people in your life.
Think about the people in your life who support you. Who help you get back up when life knocks you down. Take a moment to express your gratitude to them.
Getting ready for the Summit Challenge. Michael will be riding Mike’s bike today in his dad’s honor.
