Thank you, Christy, everyone loved your class so much! I was touched that Lynn hooked me up for the class photo, (I’m the one on her chest! 😂) and am excited to return to instruct starting on October 7th!
Full schedule drops tomorrow….. I MISS YOU!🥳💛✨

Again, I have no new content to share SO here’s another throw back. This time, inspired by my upcoming Gentle and Level Two Classical Fusion classes, I bring you back to my junior year of high school when I still danced in pointe shoes! (Not very well, but it’s the truth! 😂) Enjoy! 💛✨

09/03/2026

Since I am working on my upcoming Celebrate the 90’s class but have no other content at this time, please take a look at some pictures FROM the 90’s. 😂📸💛✨
Be ready for some class announcements next week….

You didn’t think I’d leave you hanging without a class in September, did you? 😉

Class is ready to be booked: https://orlandoballet.org/fitness-thru-dance/

I’m sending my girl, Christy, down to Orlando for a very special BeMoved class in September. Many of you have met Christy over the years at Brilliance of BeMoved intensives in Chicago and at a guest appearance in Orlando years ago. I am happy that she can come in to cover one of my Wednesday classes until my return in October.

For more information on Christy:
Christy is the founder and Artistic Director of the Rockford DanceMakers Festival (IL), where she brings choreographers, dancers, and audiences together through performance and community engagement. In Rockford she has also supported large-scale community dance projects for Rockford Dance Company such as the Rockford City Market summer flash mob!
Christy trained with Gus Giordano, and other prominent Chicago instructors, when moving to Chicago out of high school. She went on to dance mainly with Hedwig Dances and Timothy Buckley, with whom she performed at Jacob’s Pillow and Dance Theatre Workshop in NYC. Before she retired as a concert dancer, she choreographed independently in the Chicago area.
An advocate for lifelong dance participation, Christy teaches Adult Ballet, BeMoved®, and Giordano Jazz Dance Technique at the Rockford Dance Company and leads BeMoved classes aboard Carnival Cruise Line ships. She is a Certified Artistry BeMoved instructor, a certified Nan Giordano Certification Program Level 1 instructor, and holds two master’s degrees from Columbia College Chicago in Interdisciplinary Arts and the Art of Teaching.

I really love to instruct BeMoved and was so honored to have conducted a class back in Chicago last weekend with so many friends from all facets of my dancing life as far back as 1983, through my HSDC days, to my current dancers. (And we were all so tired after a big couple of days so extra special thanks for powering through!) Special thanks to Jennifer for making this moment happen and for your videography! 🎥💛✨
