Dear NVA Fans,
The National Volleyball Association would first like to send its condolences and best wishes to those affected thus far by this COVID-19 Pandemic, both home and abroad. We, the volleyball community, are in this together as we try and navigate these uncharted waters.
With everything that has unfolded over the past month, we have been keeping a close eye on the situation. We have held regular team-owner meetings via conference call, in order to establish what is best for the league, teams, players, staff, and fans. With that said, the NVA has decided it is in the best interest of everyones safety to postpone the first 2 weekends of regular season play that was set to begin in April. The April 11-12 event in Las Vegas & the April 18-19 event in Southern California will be postponed until further notice.
With these trying times, and uncertainty that lie ahead in the coming months, we are set to revisit the season schedule as it moves into May and June. With the fluidity of the overall situation surrounding the virus, we are working hard to be both prepared and flexible to whatever lies ahead. With that said, we are also working hard to put the safety of players and fans as an absolute catalyst in our decision-making. The health of everyone involved is paramount.
We, the NVA, feel very fortunate to have such an incredible community of athletes and fans. Thank you all for your support and we encourage you to continually stay engaged and follow along with our social media platforms, as well as the NVA app. We remain positive and optimistic that we will certainly bring you all some great high-level volleyball action this season. We look forward to seeing you there!
Stay safe!
