Kasey Crumbliss, who has been part of Orlando Fencing Academy as both a fencer and an assistant coach, will be leaving us in August after accepting a position in North Carolina.

Although Kasey has been with OFA for just over a year, he has made significant contributions to our club and its members. Over the past year, we have often sought his advice and relied on his thoughtful suggestions.

We sincerely appreciate everything he has done for OFA. We will miss him greatly and wish him the very best in his next endeavor.

2026 Summer Classic (June 20–21)

Orlando Fencing Academy hosted a local tournament at our club venue. This event served as the final local competition for our fencers to refine their skills before the Summer Nationals. The events included Y10, Y12, Division 2, and Senior Open mixed foil.

Annan earned his B26 rating by winning the Senior Open.
Ami earned his D26 rating in the same event.
Casey, Madhav, and Sheheer renewed their ratings as C26, D26, and D26, respectively.

Well done to all fencers who reached the medal rounds, and best of luck to everyone competing at Summer Nationals this year.

OFA held a summer national prep camp from June 15-19th with around 12 fencers participating in this event. We enjoyed some fried chicken on Chicken Wednesday as well as a good workout. Portland, OR, here we come!

The 2026 June Super Junior & Cadet Circuit (SJCC) took place from June 5 to June 7, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center (South Hall) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Three fencers from OFA competed in this event (Emma, Joanna, Madhav). Although this event was hard, our fencers tried their best. Everyone had a great time in Vegas, where we enjoyed the nature and Molly Tea. Better luck next time at Summer Nationals 2026 in Portland, OR!

The Orlando Fencing Academy just held its 9th Annual Awards Banquet and Graduation Celebration. Our athletes and families came together to celebrate a great year and our graduating students.

This year, we were proud to celebrate four high school graduates as they start new chapters in their lives:

- Hannah Wang, attending Northwestern University
- Olga Pico, attending Valencia College
- Dhruva Singu, attending Emory University
- Mikayla (Mickey) Chen, attending the University of Florida

We also recognized five college graduates, three of whom joined us to celebrate this special milestone with the OFA family.

Along with graduations, three awards were handed out. This year, the award winner for the Michael Auerbach Award for the Most Improved Player is Ammar. The Webb Family Award for Most Valuable Player goes to Shaheer, and the Batra Family Award for Sportsmanship goes to Annan. Congratulations!

Our youngest graduates were celebrated as well! Congratulations to Christina, Collin, and Ammar on completing elementary school, and to Amitav, who graduated from middle school and will be attending Lake Highland Preparatory School this fall.

Congratulations to all of our graduates! We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and can’t wait to see where your next adventures take you. We wish you continued success and happiness in the years ahead!
