TRI CAMP with the best team ever!

11/10/2025

I was just another person training in my garage every morning before sunrise.
Bike sessions, weights, consistency
—no audience, no grand plan.
Just the work.

Then something incredible happened.
A neighbor who'd been watching me train every single morning
knocked on my garage door.
She didn't want motivation.
She didn't want excuses.
She wanted in.

"I've been watching you show up every day for six months," she said.
"I want to train with you."
That moment changed everything.

She became my first client.
My garage became her gym.
And her commitment reminded me
why I started this journey in the first place
—because consistency inspires action, and action creates transformation.

What started in a garage with one client is now becoming something bigger.
We're building a training crew for people who are ready to show up,
put in the work, and transform their lives.

To my first client:
Thank you for taking a chance on the guy training in his garage.
Your trust means everything.

To everyone else watching from the sidelines:
Your moment is waiting.
Let's make it happen together.

You Don't Need Motivation.
You Need a Date on the Calendar.

Here's the brutal truth about fitness:
good intentions die fast.

"I'll start working out more."
"I'll get consistent this time."
"I'll take my health seriously."

We've all said it. Most of us never do it.

You know what changed everything for me?
Registration fees.
The moment I sign up for an event
—a race, a competition, a challenge—
something clicks.

Suddenly, those 5 AM workouts aren't optional.
That extra set isn't negotiable.
The excuses evaporate because
there's a finish line with MY NAME on it.

It's not about motivation. Motivation is fleeting. It leaves when you're tired, when it's cold, when Netflix looks better than the gym.

Commitment is different.

Commitment is putting money down.
Commitment is telling people what you're doing.
Commitment is creating a consequence bigger than your comfort zone.
When you register,
you stop "trying to get fit" and
start TRAINING. There's a massive difference.

Training has a purpose.
Training has a deadline.
Training doesn't care about how you feel today—it cares about who you need to be on race day.

I learned this the hard way: without skin in the game, fitness becomes background noise.
But the second you commit
—really commit—
your entire approach shifts.

So here's my challenge to you:
Stop waiting to "get in shape first."
Register for something NOW.

A 5K you're terrified of
A Spartan Race that scares you
A powerlifting meet
A charity walk
ANYTHING with a date and a challenge

Then watch what happens.
Watch how your training intensity changes.
Watch how your excuses disappear.
Watch how accountability builds momentum.
You don't rise to the level of your goals.
You fall to the level of your commitments.

💪 What's the next event YOU'RE signing up for?
Drop it below—let's make it real.
And if you need accountability, that's exactly why 2nd Act Fitness exists. 🌺

The Second Act I Didn't See Coming

Earlier this year,
I hit a wall I didn't know existed.

Burnout isn't just being tired.
It's waking up exhausted.
It's dreading things you used to love.
It's your body keeping score when your mind refused to slow down.
I thought pushing harder was the answer.
Spoiler: it wasn't.

So I did something that felt impossible at the time—I stepped back.
I gave myself permission to rest, to recover, to refuel.
No guilt.
No timeline.
Just healing.
During that break, something shifted.
I started moving my body again, not to punish it, but to reconnect with it.

Fitness became my reset button, not another task on my to-do list.
And that's when 2nd Act Fitness was born.

Not from a place of perfection, but from understanding what it feels like to start over.
To rebuild.
To realize that your best chapter might not be your first one.

Today, I'm back—but different.
Stronger in ways that have nothing to do with how much weight I can lift. More intentional
about what I say yes to.
More compassionate with myself
and others who are figuring it out as they go.

If you're in your recovery era right now, hear this:
Taking a break isn't quitting.
It's the bridge to your next chapter.

Your second act is waiting.
And it doesn't require permission from anyone but you
