The Sphinx is for people with forward head postures.
You lack the strength to keep your skull in place and that stresses the rest of your spine.
Hold the pose for 2 minutes.
Look straight ahead, deep breaths
Lift your head back where it belongs.

Pre-COVID (instead of B.C & A.D can we refer to time as pre-covid post-covid? Jk) I had my routine I 👏🏼 SWORE 👏🏼 BY
💭 gym stairs as cardio and can only sweat with this method (ONLY run on the treadmill once or twice a week)
💭 biased towards reformer because it works the best (lolol)
💭 these are the 5 mat exercises I do (out of an extensive repertoire available)

Let me tell ya 💁🏻♀️ I am sweatinnnnnn in my mat class (once upon a time I didn’t think I could).
My cardio has GOTTEN BETTER because of it; I’m accessing my diaphragm in a more effective way. So when I run 🏃🏻♀️ I can breath without feeling like the world is ending 🤯
My reformer work is also SO MUCH BETTER because I now TRULY understand how my BODY is all the resistance I need. However if I want a different sensation, the reformer is available for me.
I believe, if we weren’t so quick to judge the sensations of our body, we would be more inclined to understand our bodies intuitively and thus strengthen from the ✨inside out ✨ without NEEDING external machines & props. That requires likinggg being in your body. Connecting mind*body*breath.
Machines & props are great ACCESSORIES but the main ~instrument~ is YOU.

teaching Pilates Mat masterclasses all weekend for
what a better use of that time than to explain the key movement and alignment principles the foundation of Pilates takes us through. Understanding what these movement principles are, in correlation with the exercises being taught, provides a deeper mind body workout experience.

Let your soul be reflected in your exterior
The sooner you accept who you are at the root of your being, and nourish that beautiful creature. The sooner you’ll reap the benefits.
Maybe if we all cared to take care of our bodies from within; maybe then-we would all actually believe a bikini body is any body, maybe then-we would no longer have to hear the phrase “no make up makeup”.
Pilates takes care of your soul too if you let it. And your soul is the source of true beauty.
