Even though he wasn’t our QB we have to acknowledge that Tom Brady was remarkable and one of the best athletes in professional sports history.
Congratulations TB12 and good luck in your retirement.

Preach it Meck!
Back to the basics is an old idea that still works. When the Denver Broncos fired Nathaniel Hackett three weeks ago, and Jerry Rosberg took over as interim coach, Jerry said he was going back to the basics. He said, “I know what a winning team looks like and that’s what we’re looking for.” In two weeks, Coach Rosberg’s back to the basics campaign made a difference. The Denver Broncos just finished their season on a high note with a win against the LA Chargers, a long-time division opponent, and a playoff team this year. As Kathi and I walked out of the stadium after the win, the happy noise of the crowd still buzzing followed us through the parking lot. The game didn’t really matter to either team, but man it was good to see the Denver Broncos look like as Coach Rosberg would say “a winning team”. They didn’t hurt themselves with penalties. They got more turnovers than they gave up. The offensive line dominated the line of scrimmage, and they ran the ball. Receivers blocked down field turning 5-yard gains into 20-yard gains. They ran smart red zone plays inside the 20-yard line and scored touchdowns instead of kicking field goals. They looked like a winning team.
The new year always has me looking at last year’s production. I like to focus on what went well and what needs work. I’m amazed at how often the “what needs work” part of last year’s evaluation can be fixed by going back to the basics. A huge part of my business is sales. I could be the best speaker in the world, but if I don’t consistently reach out on-line or by telephone, I won’t ever see another stage. As you evaluate last year’s production follow coach Rosberg’s advice. You know what a winning team looks like. Go back to the basics.
