🎉 Since September 2013 ♥️ CFO 🖤 🦄

This past Saturday, we had the opportunity to celebrate Kevin Hanna with one final farewell WOD.

For nearly 13 years, Kevin has been a part of the CrossFit Orlando family. That’s a lot of workouts, PRs, laughs, sweat, and memories, but more importantly, it’s 13 years of showing up and making the people around him better.

Kevin’s positive energy and attitude have left a lasting impression on our community. He’s been one of those people who simply makes the gym a better place when he walks through the doors.

Kevin, thank you for all the years, the memories, and everything you’ve brought to CFO. You’ll always be part of this community, and you will absolutely be missed.

Once CFO, always CFO. 💪🖤

🔥 STRENGTH CYCLE 4 | WEEK 1 BEGINS JULY 27 🔥

A new four-week strength cycle starts this week, and we’re continuing to build stronger, more resilient, and more technically proficient athletes.

This cycle will focus on:
🏋️ Overhead Squats
🏋️‍♂️ Sumo Deadlifts
⚡ Split Jerk Technique
💥 Power Snatches & Power Cleans
🦵 Back Squats

Each movement has a purpose.
• Overhead Squats will develop shoulder stability, upper-body strength, mobility, and confidence in the bottom position.

• Sumo Deadlifts will strengthen the posterior chain while placing added emphasis on the adductors, an often overlooked muscle group that plays a critical role in strength, stability, and athletic performance.

• Split Jerks will improve overhead strength, footwork, timing, coordination, and confidence receiving the barbell in a strong position.

• Power Snatches & Power Cleans will focus on explosive hip extension, speed under the bar, and efficient movement mechanics to build power and athleticism.

• Back Squats remain our cornerstone strength movement, allowing athletes to progressively load heavy weight and build lower-body strength throughout the cycle.

Over the next four weeks, expect evolving rep schemes, movement variations, and progressive loading designed to challenge you in different ways while continuing to improve strength, power, technique, and overall fitness.
Trust the process. Stay consistent. Move with intent.

📢Cycle 3 – Week 4 Note📢

Welcome to the final week of our 3rd strength block of the training year. This week, athletes will find opportunities to reach the highest intensities and heaviest loads across the strength sessions and the workouts.

Athletes should aim for increases in overall loading on the lunge strength session, the push jerk session, and the Olympic weightlifting sessions.

For our workouts, athletes should pay special attention to the Bronco Singles on Wednesday and the weightlifting couplet on Tuesday as sessions to approach with peak intensities.

Overall, continue to prioritize mechanics first, then consistency, then finally… intensity.
