“But I eat really well…” is something hear this all the time, and I believe you.

You probably do eat well. You cook from scratch, you make good choices, you know your vegetables from your protein.

Here’s the part nobody tells you though: eating healthy and eating in a way that actually supports fat loss aren’t always the same thing. Especially once your body starts shifting in midlife.

Most women don’t need more nutrition information....you already know what a healthy meal looks like.

The gap is almost never knowledge, it’s having a clear strategy and the support to stay consistent with the right things for long enough to see it through, even when life gets messy.

So if you’ve collected all the meal plans, done all the “right” things, and still feel stuck, please hear me: you don’t need another restart.

You need a plan that fits the body you’re in now, and someone who knows how to adjust it as you go.

Comment COACHING if you’re ready to stop guessing and finally put it all together.

It’s Hormone Happy Hour… episode 3, and you know what that means.

If you’re new here Hormone Happy Hour is where every week I give you ONE small, doable ritual to keep your hormones happy in perimenopause. No overwhelming overhaul, no crazy plan. Just one little thing we all do together.

This week’s assignment? Build every meal around protein.

Here’s why it matters. In perimenopause, protein is your best friend. It keeps you full so the cravings don’t run the show, it protects the muscle that keeps your metabolism running, and it keeps your blood sugar steady so you’re not crashing at 3pm. Most women over 40 are eating nowhere near enough of it.

So this week, before you build a meal, start with your protein and work outward from there. Aim to make it the star of the plate, not an afterthought.

That’s it. That’s your Hormone Happy Hour assignment for the week. We’re all doing it together.

Follow along Lindsey Mathews | Perimenopause Coach so you don’t miss next week’s.
