ok, real talk. I get asked this ALL THE TIME.

"Shelly, what brand of LEGGINGS do you like the best?" And let me tell you, my ADHD, highly sensory, THICK-thighed self prefers to find ONE kind and buy it in every color.

Seeing how I wear leggings to work every day (lucky me), THESE are the ones I've been buying for over a year now. Why?

- They're squat proof and camouflage enough of my cellulite (I can embrace some, but you know how some leggings make it look worse than if you were just naked???)
- I love the way the soft fabric feels on my skin
- They are stretchy enough with some compression but I'm not anxious to rip them off the second I'm done with my day
- and my favorite part is the extra elastic band (maybe 3/4 inch wide?) that sits at the top of the wide waist band so they have a little extra squeeze above my hips (big b***y, thick thighs over here). This keeps them from rolling down or slipping. (Receipts in the attached photo)
- also, POCKETS

All for less than $27/pair, sometimes even less, so watch out for sales.

A healthy nervous system is responsive to its environment. Appropriately stressed under duress, and appropriately relaxed in recovery.

I think we’re all in agreement that living in fight or flight mode and wearing productivity and stress as a badge for of honor is a trend that needs to die, but what if I told you exercise can help you in ways you haven’t even thought of?

Yes, exercise is a stressor in general, but there are a lot of ways you can learn to intentional relax - heart rate, breathing, muscle/soft tissue - within the parameters of a workout… and then take those skills back to your regular life.

So next time you go to the gym, consider working on managing and recovering from stress just as much as you’re learning to tolerate it. That’s the true superpower.
