POV: When a choreographer asks our dancers if they can do a lift, they immediately channel their inner Zara Larsson and hit the dolphin pose 🐬

Over the summer, several of our company dancers chose to use their break to seek more training and new experiences.

Mia Horovitz started by competing for and winning the title of NDH Teen Honored Dancer, receiving the title from her teammate, Adriana Santos, at NDH San Diego.

She also attended Batsheva’s summer intensive for young dancers. She spent several weeks studying Gaga methods and learning Batsheva Rep.

We’re so proud of you, Mia! Your passion is now radiating across the globe and we can’t wait to see where it takes you!

We gave each dancer a random sticky note and 10 seconds to find the teammate whose personality matched it 👀

The pressure was REAL

How well do you actually know your XDA fam? 🫣

Xiomara Atikune attended WCDE Nationals on scholarship, in between company intensives and company nationals. After auditioning and demonstrating herself all week, she received 1st Runner Up for Teen Elite Dancer!

We’re so proud of you, Xiomara, and the path you continue to carve. Keep going your own way!!

POV: our dancers had to try not to get caught on camera 🥸 Not sure they succeeded 😅 Just a little chaos with the XDA dancers 🤍

Over the summer, several of our company dancers chose to use their break to seek more training and new experiences.

Adriana Santos started by concluding her year as the NDH Teen Honored Dancer, passing off the title to her teammate, Mia Horovitz, at NDH San Diego.

She also attended the Arts Umbrella 3 week International Summer Dance Intensive in Vancouver, Canada, under the direction of Artemis Gordo. There she trained in ballet and contemporary daily, learning rep from Crystal Pite, Sharon Eyal, and Johan Inger. She performed excerpts of these reps at the end of the intensive.

We’re so proud of you, Adriana, and the way you are always investing in your future. Eyes set to the stars, always!!
