The Association of Florida Scuba Instructors and divers. Membership is composed of scuba Divemasters and Instructors. Voting members must be an insured instructor, or divemaster. The association will be a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit, engaged in legislative, charitable and conservation issues of interest to divers and members. The Scuba industry has been run for decades by for 'profit corporations' of merchants, manufacturers and investors that have PROFIT as a goal. These merchants have made scuba classes a 'loss leader' and dive instructors a 'dime-a-dozen'. For years the 'cart has pulled the horse'. Time for a change.
