Nona Swim Academy

program. Adults and Children 3 years and up will be separated into 3 different levels of swimming. Level 1 is focusing on learning to be comfortable in the water, basic floating skills, kicking, self rescue techniques and starting to combine arms and legs. Level 2 is focusing primarily on Freestyle or Front Crawl and learning to perfect breathing. We will also learn backstroke during this Level. We often separate swimmers in this level as a Level 2 Beginner, and Level 2 Advanced. The advanced students know and understand the concept of breathing with front crawl but may still need some work. Level 3 is for swimmers who are comfortable and strong enough swimming freestyle with breathing. This is where they will develop other other strokes such as Breastroke, Backstroke and Butterfly and focus on being able to swim farther distances using freestyle. Triathlon athletes are encouraged to sign up for instruction to help with their stroke development. We can even help with open water swims!
