Be honest… have you ever given ANY thought to your running technique? I know I know, I hear it all the time. “No, I’m not injured so why would I fix what’s not broken?” Because it COULD BE broken, and it can ALWAYS be more efficient.
Improving your technique is a sure fire way to:
🏃🏼♀️ run faster
🏃🏼♂️ run longer
🏃🏼 run without pain
Think about it: the more efficient you are while running, the faster your body can run. Which could also mean you will be able to run longer. And if you can run faster and longer, that means you’re running without pain. Now, remind me why you don’t need to worry about your run technique? 😉
Road runner, trail runner, and everything in between. Let’s fix your technique!
Special thanks to my athlete Kiri for letting me show the world how much she cares about her own technique. She’s been working so hard and the results are very obvious!

She does it again! 🏅
Chicago Olympic Triathlon ✅
1 year ago she started all over after a 10 year hiatus ✅
6 months ago she wasn’t able to run and focused solely on the swim + bike ✅
3 months ago she jumped head first over her open water fear ✅
Today, she’s asking me if she can swim in open water instead of the pool, she’s grateful for every run she has, she kicked major butt at the Chicago triathlon, and she’s 4 short weeks away from 70.3 M🍒CHIGAN
Persistent. Focused. Determined. That’s Megan!
Help me send her all the kudos! 👏🏼

Having big scary goals means doing big scary things you’ve never done before, on a regular basis 😳
Today, Megan, Erin, and I headed up north to Madison, WI with the Jenny Parker Harrison crew to ride the IMWI bike course. I drove the SAG vehicle, danced in the street as everyone rode by me, ate delicious sourdough bread with Jen at the aid station, and Erin and Megan crushed the intimidating course! They are so ready to rock ‘n roll their 70.3s in a few short weeks! Madison and Michigan, these girls are READY for you!
I’m also proud to report that the only huge need for me today came in the form of an allen wrench 🔧 🙌🏼 (we call that a WIN in the cycling world!)
I will also admit, a small part of me missed my bike today. Just a tad 😉

Last weekend, I was invited to be a vendor for the TFX Throwdown at CrossFit 104. Watching the athletes in action gave me the itch to toss some weight around. And they even had a kids division! ADORABLE! 💪🏼
While the endurance world and heavy lifting famously aren’t popular together, they are SUPER important if you want to continue to get faster and stay injury free. I loved chatting with the athletes and talking about how proper run form, training in the correct zones, and consistency can make running easier.
Remember, there’s more to running than just running!

Megan to Coach Meg: let’s swim far 🏊🏼♀️
Me: we can do that 😉
Big goal: accomplished ✅
The 2 Megan’s dove into Lake Michigan together this morning, and it was like swimming on glass. As a coach, I’m so proud of this woman for tackling the open water. Her first reentry into open water back in May was scary to say the least. But she’s put her nose to the grindstone and come so far is in such a short amount of time. Major kudos to you, Megan! Sharing the water of Lake Michigan with you was SOMUCHFUN!
And of course, we are nothing without our fellow swimmer friends 🙌🏼
