Come join SNKT on Sunday 10/25 for a full moon witch hat paddle!

We will be paddles up at 8:30 PM, sending it out into the Indian River Lagoon! Your guide (me!) will be snapping pictures and b-roll footage of you and your friend group throughout the night so you can stay present and still make that fun reel for your page!

Our 90 minute tour will have fun silly moments but also focus on conserving a vulnerable ecosystem. The Indian River Lagoon is the most biologically diverse estuary in North America and you’ll get to learn about some of the inhabitants there like the bioluminescent and stingless comb jelly!

I have two tandems and 3 single kayaks available still for the evening and you’re also welcome to BYOK for a discount!

Put on your best witch hat and come learn about the importance of the wonderful Indian River Lagoon!

The family that booked with me at the last minute last night were going to come for the 8:30 tour, but when they texted me I asked if they were down to stay up past bedtime, because there was a rocket launch. A resounding (paraphrase) heck yes and they got themselves locked in. It couldn’t have been a more perfect tour 😍 the location I paddle at still has peak dinoflagellate bioluminescence (I’m hearing it’s already kaput in other areas), there were at least half a dozen dolphins playing around us for most of the tour and the falcon heavy launch with double booster return and sonic booms was the greatest!!

Perks of taking a guided tour are advantages of local knowledge like this! They didn’t know there was a rocket launch until I told them and at the end of it they were saying “this is so unforgettable!”

I am always super down to stay up late, send it at a special time, whatever! You wanna sit in a kayak at 3am and watch a meteor shower? Catch the sunrise?? Have a special rocket launch tour? It would be my deepest joy to facilitate a bucket list memory for you and your family

Cooler weather is going to bring the birdos! If you’re a birder I’d love to paddle with you! The Indian River Lagoon hosts around 370 species of birds. When you paddle with me I will call all great blue herons Frank, but I promise we will have a great time! Bring your whole flock! I’m happy to set up a custom tour time that works best for you!

It’s manatee Monday! I got to meet the newest little pal in the cove today. In the first photo toward the left side you can see the little baby’s face cuddling mom’s big paddle tail. In the second photo, they swam under my kayak. The mom is on the left and the baby is on the right. In the third photo I feel like you can see wrinkles on his skin that have to be from being folded up in the womb, I mean this is a fresh fresh nugget.

Seems like this year we have some unseasonably bright dinoflagellate bioluminescence hanging on to summer as long as it can. It might have honestly been brighter than I have EVER seen it tonight. We saw massive schools of mullet, and I was finally able to get video of them making their glowing trails in the water, probably my favorite thing to see above all else out there. The manatees and dolphins said hello and we saw a shooting star too! The man on the tour was an engineer that worked on the telescope they just launched this morning so it was really cool to get to learn a little about that and talk about space stuff too!
