The St. Cloud Summer Shootout lived up to its name on the spectacular layout at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links, where players battled for position before dark clouds rolled in midway through the round. With the skies growing more threatening, the race to the finish took on a little extra drama.

The Senior Net competition was hotly contested from the start and featured some of the strongest scoring of the day. Greg Gastfield (Florida Southwest) came out firing, taking a one-shot advantage to the back nine over Steve Eisenberg (Orlando), with Dave Densieski (Florida Southwest) and Pat LaPage (Orlando) just two shots off the pace.

While Pat and Steve cooled off after the turn, Greg and Dave kept their feet firmly on the gas. By the time they reached the 15th tee, Greg had stretched his advantage to four shots and appeared to have things under control.

One hole later, everything had changed.

Dave made up three shots at the 15th, and suddenly Greg’s comfortable cushion had been reduced to a single stroke with three holes remaining. From there, neither player gave an inch. Matching net birdies at both 16 and 17 meant the one-shot margin remained intact as they stepped onto the 18th tee.

One hole. One shot separating them. One trophy on the line.

Greg delivered when he needed it most, making net par while Dave could manage only net bogey. The final hole gave Greg a two-shot victory and completed an impressive double dip at the St. Cloud Summer Shootout.

Two competitions. Two trophies. One very productive trip to Orlando for Greg.

The St. Cloud Summer Shootout lived up to its name on the spectacular layout at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links, where players battled for position before dark clouds rolled in midway through the round. With the skies growing more threatening, the race to the finish took on a little extra drama.

In the Mid-Am Net competition, two players who have made a habit of finding success this season found themselves locked in a head-to-head battle. Gage Basiletti (Florida Southwest) and Jose Santiago (Orlando) each sit atop the Mid-Am Net Player of the Year standings in their respective chapters and Saturday offered a pretty good explanation why.

Despite opening with a triple bogey, Jose wasted little time recovering and carried a one-shot advantage into the back nine. From there, the battle was on.

Jose poured in three net birdies coming home to post a one-under net 71, but Gage had an answer at nearly every turn. Four back-nine net birdies allowed him to erase the deficit and match Jose at 71, leaving the hardware to be decided by a scorecard playoff.

That’s where Gage’s closing nine made the difference. His three-under 33 on the back edged Jose by a single shot in the tiebreaker, earning Gage the Mid-Am Net title.

Jose may have narrowly missed the trophy Saturday, but his season-long body of work has him firmly in control of the Orlando Mid-Am Net Player of the Year race. With only the local finals remaining, Jose holds a commanding lead of more than 53 points.

The St. Cloud Summer Shootout lived up to its name on the spectacular layout at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links, where players battled for position before dark clouds rolled in midway through the round. With the skies growing more threatening, the race to the finish took on a little extra drama.

As the season has headed down the home stretch, the Division 5 fields have continued to get stronger. One thing, however, has remained remarkably consistent: if Greg Gastfield (Florida Southwest) makes the trip to Orlando, he’s probably heading home with a trophy.

An opening-hole double bogey did little to derail Greg, who quickly settled in and made the turn holding a one-shot advantage over Pat LaPage (Orlando) and three shots over Dave Densieski (Florida Southwest).

As his challengers found trouble on the back nine, Greg just kept plugging along. His steady play stretched the advantage to six shots by the time he reached the 15th tee, and the outcome was beginning to look like a formality.

Perhaps feeling a little generous, Greg gave three of those shots back with a triple bogey at 15. But any thoughts of a late collapse disappeared just as quickly. He steadied the ship, closed out the round, and walked into the clubhouse with a comfortable five-shot victory.

That makes three trips to Orlando this season and three trophies for Greg, a run that has certainly helped propel him to the top of the Florida Southwest Division 5 Player of the Year standings.

It may defy every bit of logic outside of golf logic, but at this point Greg might want to start checking Orlando real estate listings.

The St. Cloud Summer Shootout lived up to its name on the spectacular layout at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links, where players battled for position before dark clouds rolled in midway through the round. With the skies growing more threatening, the race to the finish took on a little extra drama.

If you’ve played golf long enough, you’ve almost certainly experienced those rare stretches when everything seems to go your way. For Brent Conlon (Orlando), the front nine Saturday was one of those stretches.

There are leads... and then there are LEADS.

Brent blistered the front side with a two-under 34, pouring in three birdies that included a chip-in and a near-eagle at the 9th. By the time he made the turn, his closest challenger, Jack Sudol (Florida Southwest), was a staggering 11 shots behind.

Then the Golf Gods decided it was time to collect.

Brent came crashing back to Earth on the back nine, and what had looked like a runaway suddenly became a white-knuckle ride to the finish. Five doubles, three bogeys and just one par would ordinarily erase any hopes of lifting a trophy. But an 11-shot head start can cover up a lot of damage.

On Saturday, it was enough.

Brent survived the back-nine chaos to claim a five-shot victory and his second title of the season. More importantly, the win vaulted him into the lead in Orlando’s Division 4 Player of the Year race, setting the stage for a season-ending showdown with just The Citrus Cup remaining.

The St. Cloud Summer Shootout lived up to its name on the spectacular layout at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links, where players battled for position before dark clouds rolled in midway through the round. With the skies growing more threatening, the race to the finish took on a little extra drama.

Everybody has heard the old adage, “Nice guys finish last.” Well, somebody forgot to tell Graham Chancey.

Pastor Graham Chancey (Orlando), one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, broke through at the St. Cloud Summer Shootout to capture his first-ever APT victory. In Division 3, Graham put together a strong opening nine with just one real blemish... a double bogey at the 5th, and made the turn with a one-shot advantage over Jimmy DiBernardo (Orlando) and two shots clear of newcomer Adrian Fullerton (Orlando).

Then Graham went to work.

Three straight pars to open the back nine allowed him to create some breathing room, but anyone who has chased that first victory knows the final few holes can feel a whole lot longer with the lead in hand. Graham finally showed a few nerves down the stretch, making bogey on five of his final six holes and leaving the door cracked open for Jimmy.

But cracked open wasn’t enough.

Graham had built just enough of a cushion to withstand the late charge, signing for an 84 and holding off Jimmy to finally secure that elusive first APT title.

For one of the nicest guys on tour, it was a breakthrough that had been a long time coming.

The St. Cloud Summer Shootout lived up to its name on the spectacular layout at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links, where players battled for position before dark clouds rolled in midway through the round. With the skies growing more threatening, the race to the finish took on a little extra drama.

Division 2 brought plenty of drama of its own, and this one needed extra holes to decide a champion.

Chason “Rocky” Rockymore (Florida Southwest) came out firing, playing the front nine in even par and punctuating it with an eagle at the 9th. That sent Rocky to the turn holding a three-shot advantage over Jose Santiago (Orlando), who found himself playing catch-up after an uncharacteristic triple bogey at the opening hole.

That lead disappeared in a hurry. Rocky stumbled with a double at 10 while Jose answered with a birdie, suddenly pulling the two even. The tie lasted just one hole, as Jose bogeyed the 11th to hand the advantage right back.

From there, Jose was rock solid, rattling off seven straight pars to post a three-over 75 and put the pressure squarely on Rocky. Rocky carried the lead to the 16th, but a late bogey brought the two even once again. Neither blinked coming home, and matching 75s meant there was only one way to settle it. A playoff.

Even that wasn’t enough at first. Both players birdied the opening playoff hole to extend the showdown. On the second extra hole, Rocky finally delivered the deciding blow, making par while Jose settled for bogey.

After 20 holes and more than a few momentum swings, Rocky had his victory and his third title of the 2025-26 season.

The St. Cloud Summer Shootout lived up to its name on the spectacular layout at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links, where players battled for position before dark clouds rolled in midway through the round. With the skies growing more threatening, the race to the finish took on a little extra drama.

Division 1 delivered a shootout at Royal St. Cloud, and when the dust settled, our winner had posted the lowest score seen at any APT Orlando event to date.

All four players in the opening group came ready to play. Brady Coffin (Orlando) struck first, grabbing the early lead with a birdie at the 4th before adding another at the 9th to turn at two under. Espn Pool (Orlando), playing on his home track, answered with birdies at 6 and 8 to make the turn tied with Brady. Meanwhile, Marc Young (Houston) quietly opened with seven straight pars before catching fire with back-to-back birdies at 8 and 9, creating a three-way tie heading to the back nine.

The pressure never let up. Gage Basiletti (Florida Southwest), the fourth member of the group, made his charge with three birdies on the back to force his way into the conversation. Brady, however, saw his bid unravel with bogeys at 12 and 16 surrounding a costly double at 13.

That left Marc and Espn to settle it down the stretch.

Standing on the 18th tee, Marc held a razor-thin one-shot advantage. With Espn still within striking distance, Marc slammed the door the way champions do... with a closing birdie. The final putt put the finishing touch on a three-under 69, a two-shot victory, and the lowest round yet at an APT Orlando event.

It was Marc’s fourth victory of the year and continued a remarkable run of consistency. In seven starts this season, Marc has yet to finish outside the top two with four wins and no result worse than runner-up.

ONE MORE WEEKEND TOGETHER.

It's hard to believe we're already here.

After a full season of early mornings, long drives, great shots, bad breaks, close matches, laughs, handshakes, new friendships and plenty of stories along the way, we've just about reached the final event of the 2025–26 APT Orlando season.

And while there will be plenty on the line at Orange Lake... double points, bigger prize pools, Player of the Year races and the first-ever Citrus Cup... this weekend is about more than what's on the leaderboard.

It's about one more weekend together.

One more opportunity to tee it up with the people we've competed against all season.

One more weekend of seeing familiar faces on the range, giving each other a hard time at the first tee, swapping stories after the round and congratulating the guys who played just a little better that day.

That's what makes this tour (and this chapter) special.

We compete hard. We want to win. Still... somewhere along the way, the guys you're trying to beat become the same guys you're looking forward to seeing at the next tournament.

That's the community we've built here.

So whether you're chasing a Player of the Year title, trying to become an inaugural Citrus Cup Champion or simply want one more weekend with the Orlando APT family before we close the book on this season...

.. come finish it with us.
