Personal Training
We offer private personal training in a small group or one-on-one setting, giving you the expert guidance you need to reach your healthy lifestyle goals. We have nationally certified trainers, who are experts, patient, and are passionate about helping people. Personal training at Revive Fitness is based on functional training methods. Our trainers have found this to be the most beneficial method. The science behind functional training will help you reach your fitness and lifestyle goals. Functional training refers to an exercise program that improves your coordination, flexibility and strength. There are not specific moves for functional training but it can be best described as activities based on and that will improve your daily living. These exercises will train several muscle groups while improving your balance, core stabilization, strength and flexibility. Our trainers use a combination of single joint exercises to isolate (to shape, tone, strengthen) and multi-joint exercises that integrates muscle groups into movement patterns (for strength, speed) to provide a metabolic environment (calorie burning), which is scientifically proven to burn calories effectively 24-48 hours after the session is done. Our trainers use this method because the science behind it can be used with any type of client. We create tailored programs for the goals of our clients. Whether they are rehabilitation clients, athletes, workout enthusiasts, any skill level and any age group can execute the exercises used. Our popular, fun, and intense indoor Boot Camps will help get you motivated and keep you excited all the way toward reaching your fitness goals:
• Hurricane Boot Camp – Hurricane training is an intense circuit of plyometric exercises, stretches and primal movements that combines extreme cardio, weight training and explosive core exercises! These sessions are here to create a metabolic a disturbance in your entire body. As a result your body will become leaner, faster and more agile.
• Kettlebell Boot Camp – This workout combines cardio with strength and flexibility training to give you a safe and effective workout. When used correctly, kettlebells are extremely effective training tools for providing total-body strength and conditioning. The problem is that kettlebells are often used improperly. As with any technical movement, lift, or skill, proper coaching is required to maximize the benefits.
• Metabolic Boot Camp – our "metabolic" training is based on work and rest ratio adaptation. Compare to our hurricane sessions where the primary focus is to increase speed, during our metabolic sessions our focus to increase your endurance. By alternating major muscle groups within the same set, you will train the body to build muscle while burning fat, all while training the cardiovascular and muscular systems.
• Tabata – a great full body HIIT (high intensity interval training) with 20/10 work/ rest ratio patterns. Tabata is 20 seconds of high intensity exercise alternating with 10 seconds of rest. This is repeated approximately 8 times for 4 minutes. Variations may be used. Great fat burning class!

You can’t outwork poor nutrition. Proper food will give you the energy and nutrients that you need to perform activities. Junk food will hinder your performance like sludge in a car engine 😪
Proper food will also fuel your results. Exercise stimulates your body, but the REcovery is where the REsults come from (strength, hypertrophy, weight loss, etc). 💪🏽 So don’t let that hard work go to waste with junk food 🗑️
Healthy food also help you HEAL. When your body is recovering from injuries or from chronic health issues (such as arthritis), healthy food helps reduce inflammation in your body & helps your body perform better so it can heal more efficiently 🧬

This week we’re discussing how food can help your health. Today let’s talk about emotional health:
Just like drugs & alcohol, junk food might make you feel happy temporarily (false sense of happiness), but it slowly poisons your mind & when overused it DESTROYS your mind 👎🏽
Healthy food nourishes your mind & body. When our bodies are happy, our mind is happier. Especially our digestive system. Our digestive system & central nervous system are literally wired to communicate with each other 🧠
When there’s inflammation in our gut from junk food, it sends signals to our brain that we subconsciously interpret as thoughts such as; depression, anxiety, lethargy, etc 😭
On the other hand, healthy food that heals your gut & body send signals to our brain that we interpret as; mental clarity, energy, relaxation, etc 😃

Putting proper fuel in your body will help your mind & body perform better & feel AMAZING (more amazing than the 2 minute pleasure of eating junk food AKA POISON) ☠️
This week let’s discuss how food can help your health. Today we’ll start with physical health:
When you get an annual check up at the doctor, they usually check your blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar levels, etc. When these are off, they refer to it as the “metabolic syndrome.” 😬
Proper food helps prevent ALL of these:
Healthy food (especially protein) helps balance insulin which helps control blood sugar.
Healthy food helps you maintain a healthy weight which can help reduce LDLs (bad cholesterol).
A healthy weight can help your cardiorespiratory system, which helps prevent high blood pressure…
…the list goes on ⬆️

However, we also had our personal training clients proudly take on the challenge to honor our fallen heroes 🙏🏽
Members in their 70s & 80s, pregnant members, members with certain orthopedic restrictions, etc. all doing a modified version. Moves were modified, but the effort was 100% 💪🏽
