Throwback to a floor I used to call home.

That's me and my former pro partner, competing at Capital Dancesport - bib #102, still feeling the nerves just watching this back.

I'm not competing professionally right now. But here's the thing nobody tells you when you step off that floor: the training doesn't stop. The drilling, the small corrections, the obsession with getting one more detail right - that's still every single day, just pointed in a different direction. Right now it's pointed at my students.

So until the day I'm back out there, I'll be right here - stepping out with whoever's willing to put the work in. Same standard. Same floor, different side of it.

Still need a PE credit that doesn't feel like PE?

If you're homeschooling in Florida, you already know finding the right fit for physical education can be harder than it should be. Here's something a lot of homeschool families don't realize: Dance Amadis Ballroom is an approved Step Up For Students EMA Marketplace Provider - meaning eligible scholarship funds can go directly toward private dance lessons, and yes, that can count toward PE credit.

We didn't know what we were building when we opened these doors. We just knew we wanted somewhere people could walk in exactly as they were and leave a little lighter.

Faces have changed a lot since then. Some of our very first students aren't with us anymore - life happens. Others just walked in for the first time last week. But somehow the same thing keeps happening in this room: the same nervous first lesson, the same laugh halfway through, the same big smile by the end of it.
