⭐️ Instructor Spotlight ⭐️
Meet Ms Katy!
Katy learned to swim at 2 and never stopped. She was SCUBA certified at 14 and lifeguarding at 16. She’s worked in Hollywood, notably on the TV shows “Frasier” and “Boy Meets World,” in the music industry for a Japanese rock star, and at a Fortune 100 company creating video content. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in media from CSULA in 2004.
But her greatest accomplishment was becoming a mom to her one child, Isabella, in 2021. Katy loved every minute being a stay-at-home mom for nearly four years. When she was called to work again in 2025, she wanted to work with children, and saving lives by teaching swim at Aqua Journeys was an answer to her prayers! They truly are family here, and saving lives is our passion!
Nowadays, you can find Katy at the playground, by the pool, or on the pickleball courts at Pictona, where she also coaches pickleball.
