Community Valentine’s Day dance for elementary students is this Saturday at 5pm! There will be hair tinsel, music, and food! 💗

ICE RINK UPDATE - 2/5/26
Staff is currently working on the rink this morning. We are going to add a few layers of new ice and the rink will open at noon today instead of our usual time of 10am.

We are back open! The weather looks like it will hold and the ice will be available from now through the weekend!

Orono Parks and Recreation is hosting a discussion night about the RAD Afterschool program. A survey was conducted with the families currently involved with this program to answer common questions and talk about the future of the program. All are welcome to join at the Council Chambers on Thursday, February 5th from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. Free Pizza will be provided for all! Students of all ages are also welcome to come, and space will be provided with some light activities so they can be present throughout the meeting.

Information will be prepared based on the survey's answers, and an agenda is linked at the Town of Orono's calendar. There will be opportunities for questions and comments throughout the night!

The 2026 schedule for Orono karate classes is out! Starting in January, classes will be as follows:

Mondays 4:00-5:00PM (Kids: beginners, ages 5-12)
Mondays 5:00-6:00PM (Family/All ages 5+: first bar and up)
Wednesdays 4:30-5:30PM (Kids: all levels, ages 5-12)
Thursdays 5:00 to 6:00PM (Ages 12+: all levels)
