senior skater spotlight!

our final senior of the season is hope! hope has been part of umaine figure skating for four years, serving on the exec board for every single one of them. she is the backbone of this club; she helps get new skaters under their feet and is the biggest cheerleader for our competition team. hope truly has a passion and a talent for skating- bringing almost all of us to tears her last competition with us back in february. this club truly will not be the same without her.

the first of our two graduating seniors is amy! she joined the club fall of 2022 and served as our treasurer this past year. amy joined this competition team with no previous experience- attending her first competition november of 2022, just two months after she started skating! amy never fails to make us laugh and showed true dedication to this team (getting up for 5am ice times with 8am classes following is not easy!)

last but definitely NOT least, stellaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!
stella has been in the club for two years. she is part of the og exec members that turned this club around after covid. we truly could not have done it without all her help. stella is such a bright person, she is truly an inspiration balancing her schoolwork, skating, dance, crochet, and tons of other things!
we are so sad to see you go, stella. but we know you will shine bright wherever you end up. :)

bean has only been in the club for one year, but boy did they make an impact. bean brings such a light to this club, they genuinely care about everyone’s wellbeing and is not afraid to express themselves on the ice. bean will be staying with us for one more semester, but even that is not enough time with them. we love you, bean!
