Hello Valued Customers and loved ones!

It is with our most sincerest regret that we are informing you all that we will not be opening for the Summer 2019 season.

Since 1974, Hunts Canoes, has been a proud business member of Osocda, and cherished among many.

As many of you might have known, the owner of the canoe livery, Greg, was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in August 2018. Though he is currently in remission, prolonged complications and healing have caused in the delay of opening for the season.

We are so thankful for all your kind words and thoughts. Please continue enjoying the AuSable River this Summer through one of the other amazing canoe liveries in town.

I wanted to add that we are still planning on opening the Putt Putt Golf course - opening is TBA, but please stop by!

We are hoping that this closing is temporary. We have sincerely enjoyed every one of our customers, and hope to see you all again in the future!

Beginning July 3rd, the Starry Nights at the Pier Summer Movie Series continues with its third year of family fun! Come on out on Wednesday nights at dusk and enjoy an awesome experience!

Sorry to anyone who has been trying to get in touch - we were informed that the phone lines would be back up and going on Tuesday or Wednesday. Just removing some old grape vines that has overtaken the electrical lines all over the property.

Hunts Canoes sadly said goodbye to the best mascot it could have ever hoped for. Henry was the best greeter, the best sniffer, and he could smell a turkey sandwich from a mile away.

Hunts will never be the same without him. He truly lived the best life. From the Rockies in Colorado to the Great Lakes in Michigan on the AuSable River.

He blocked traffic from entering the parking lot for he would lay in the middle of the road. Or he would beg for treats from anyone who owned a cooler.

We love you Henry Putt Putt!, and welcome anyone who has captured his magnificence over the years. ❤️❤️

We would like to thank everyone for a great summer, especially this group who bring it every September with a different theme! We will be open weather permitting periodically in September and October but please call or message ahead to ensure that we can make your trip happen. We will be closed indefinitely from September 18-24th because one of our very own is taking the plunge! Congrats Callie Boik and Jake Merkel !
