Northeast Academy of Dance (NEAD)

Hello Everyone! Well, sometimes plans just have to change. Due to the ongoing construction and renovation of the Oscoda High School Auditorium, we will have to change venues. Fortunately for us the kind people at Alcona High School have made it possible for us to have our performances there for the second year in a row. Thank you Alcona Area Schools and go Tigers!

This year's performance is titled Best Foot Forward and shows the NEAD student's progress over the last year. The program will consist of 4 works including the Preperation for the Ball from Cinderella, Selections from the ballet Paquita, a Bollywood jazz dance and a contempory/jazz work set to Ravel's masterful Piano Concerto for the Left Hand. We hope to see you at the show!

Hello everyone! We had to cancel class on Tuesday due to an appointment, but we are going to make it up this Saturday the 14th from 10-11 am. Soooooo...if there's anyone out there who can't normally make it during the week and would still love to give it a try, please enjoy special "try it" pricing this time only for $10. Please just let me know in advance by commenting on this post if you would like to come. Hope to see you there!

Hello Eveyone! In case you missed it, we had to cancel class yesterday and are going to rescheudle it for this evening from 6 - 7pm. If you have wanted to come and try it but couldn't because the class is normally on Tuesday mornings, why not come and give it a try? Class is great for any age or fitness level. If there is enough interest, we can start an evening class as well. Hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please message us in the comments.

Good morning! Out of an abundance of caution, we're going to CANCEL class for today, Jan 6 and reschedule for tomorrow evening (Wednesday, Jan 7) from 6-7pm.

For anyone wanting to try the class but have not been able to, due to work or scheduling, come and give it a try! If enough people are interested we can start an evening class as well as a morning class.
