The OMS Softball Team wrapped up their busy week of 4 games in 5 days on Friday morning in Pella. The Indians came home with 2 wins over the Dutch. In the Maroon game, Oskaloosa scored 4 runs on 8 hits. Kambri Walker led the attack with 2 doubles and an RBI and Halley Walker had 2 singles. Also getting hits were Aubrey Vance, Gabby McCombs, and Emerson Roe all with RBI singles, and Lauryn Koehler with a single. Emerson Roe & the Indians held the Dutch to 1 run on 1 hit. Roe pitched all 5 innings striking out 10 and walking 4.

Oskaloosa’s White Team put up the maximum of 3 runs per inning in all innings played and defeated Pella 12-3 in 4 innings. Getting hits for Oskaloosa were Avery Doll with a single, Emelia Stewart with an RBI single, Chessa San with a 2 RBI double, Kennedy Klyn with an RBI triple, and Alex Garrison with a single. Ava Kenney and Lauryn Koehler split the pitching for the Indians. In 2 innings of work, Kenney faced just 7 batters giving up no runs on 1 hit. She struck out 4 and walked no one. Koehler pitched the final 2 innings striking out 3 with 1 walk.

The OMS girls will return to the diamond at home next Thursday June 25 at 9:00 AM against EBF.

The MS softball team traveled to Knoxville on Thursday morning. In the first game, the Maroon Team scored 6 runs on 8 hits and defeated the Panthers 6-3. Izzy Ritz had 3 singles and 1 RBI, Emerson Roe had double and a single, Halley Walker had 2 singles, 1 RBI, and 2 stolen bases, Kambri Walker had a double, Brielle Boender had an RBI single, and Genesis Ramirez had 2 singles and 1 stolen base. Aubrey Vance was the winning pitcher for the Indians. She pitched all 5 innings striking out 5 and walking 1.

The Grey Team tied with the Panthers 4-4. Avery Doll had an RBI single, Ava Kenney, Emelia Stewart, Chessa San, and Kennedy Klyn all had singles. Gemma Lahner and Ava Kenney split the pitching for Oskaloosa, each throwing 2 innings. Lahner struck out 3 and issued 2 walks and Kenney struck out 5 with 2 walks.
