Update on this situation I shared. I was contacted by the writer of this article and we talked about the gun law situation and the information I had shared.
It seems at this time that it is not true. If I find otherwise I will let it be known.

I am scheduling a permit class on 6Aug22, 10-2 at 81 Dix Dr, Phoenix, NY 13135.
I am also having my regularly scheduled class at Pathfinder Fish & Game Club on 11Aug, 6-10p.
Class is $40, bring pen and note paper, whatever you want to drink or eat and on Saturday bring a lawn chair.
