Oswego County Elementary School-Aged Children — THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!

Give your child the tools to handle bullying with confidence, awareness, courage, and safety! 💪

📅 October 17
🕡 Drop-Off: 6:30–7:00 PM
🥋 Event: 7:00–8:00 PM

🔑 KEYS TO BULLY BUSTING

We’ll teach kids practical, age-appropriate strategies to help them feel confident and know what to do when they encounter bullying:

👊 LOOK THE PART — Stand tall, make eye contact, and use a calm, confident voice.

🚶 AVOID THE BULLY — Choosing a safer route or staying near trusted adults is smart—not weakness.

👫 STAY WITH FRIENDS — There is strength and safety in staying connected with friends and trusted classmates.

🗣️ TELL A TRUSTED ADULT — Speaking up takes courage. Keep telling trusted adults until someone helps.

💪 STAY CALM & BE ASSERTIVE — Learn how to confidently say, “Stop,” “Leave me alone,” or “That’s not okay,” and then walk away.

🛡️ PROTECT YOURSELF — Safety comes first. Create distance, move toward other people, and get an adult involved. We never encourage kids to seek out a physical fight.

📱 CYBER BULLYING: PAUSE • SAVE • BLOCK • REPORT

Kids will also learn what to do when bullying happens online:
PAUSE before responding • SAVE evidence • BLOCK unwanted contact • REPORT it to the platform and a trusted adult.

And remember: DON’T FORWARD IT! Sharing rumors, embarrassing pictures, or hurtful messages only spreads the harm. 🔒

The first week of school is officially in the books—and our MPTKD After School Program is off to an AMAZING start! 🙌❤️

From school days to TKD days, our students are learning, laughing, making new friends, and building confidence along the way! 💪🥋

Our After School Program gives kids a safe, fun, active place to go after the school bell rings—with opportunities to work on homework, enjoy activities, spend time with friends, and of course… GET ON THE MATS! 🥋🔥

We’re so proud of all our students for tackling this first week with confidence, courage, and a great attitude!
